Purpose

At Care Abound, our purpose is to bring hope, healing, and support to burn survivors across the nation. We are dedicated to raising awareness about the challenges survivors face while providing direct financial assistance, emotional support, and vital resources to help them rebuild their lives. Through charitable donations, community partnerships, and educational programs, we strive to ease the burden of recovery and ensure that every survivor feels seen, supported, and empowered to thrive beyond their injuries.

Dhiyaa Ravi - Founder

Inspired by personal experience, I founded Care Abound after witnessing the harrowing effects of a severe burn accident endured by her grandmother in 2022. Seeing firsthand the immense physical, emotional, and financial challenges she faced, I committed myself to creating a lifeline for others navigating similar hardships. With a vision to ease the financial burdens, this organization aims to provide emotional support, and mobilize charitable aid for burn survivors nationwide.

Care Abound is established to act as a beacon of compassion and hope, with an unwavering dedication to ensuring that no survivor has to walk the path of recovery alone.

GOALS

Direct Financial Assistance to Burn Survivors

Provide financial relief for medical bills, rehabilitation costs, and essential living expenses for burn survivors, by raising funds for victims.

Educational & Awareness Programs

Raise awareness about burn prevention, recovery resources, and survivor support, thereby reducing long-term risks and helping survivors reintegrate into their communities.

Support Groups and Counseling Services

Provide emotional and psychological support to burn survivors and their families, improving quality of life and promoting recovery.

2026 FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN

Seeing an apartment go up in flames in our own community is shocking and heartbreaking. Through this fundraiser, 100% of the money raised by Care Abound was donated directly to NeighborUp, a local nonprofit that provides emergency assistance such as temporary housing support, food, clothing, and other critical resources to families in crisis. Every donation no matter the smallest amount, provides immediate relief and support to families who are trying to recover after such a devastating fire.

2025 making social impact

Care Abound made a number of social impacts to survivors by enrolling students to provide social support and motivation through community outreach programs. More than 100 hours spent in volunteering for survivors and the mayor award received by Dhiyaa Ravi.

2025 VOLUNTEERING & Fundraising for UNC

Collaborated with another non-profit foundation Gen Inspired to support STEM education in the Wake county.

During the STEM event, we raised the awareness about Fire safety protocols and trained students.
Received a Presidential Volunteer Service Award (PVSA) in 2025 for 100+ hours of service.
Collected funds and donated ($500) towards UNC JC Burn Center towards the end of 2025.
